Gjev Meg Gamalost!

Thu Jan 5, 2006, 4:19 PM
I'm going over some music while I work on other things. There may be a Veil Of Thorns EP in February, an album to follow in the spring, and, should a drummer and bass player somehow show up, some festival appearances. I'm opening up the idea, not promising. The tour aspect, that is. The musick will be forthcoming.

Some things that'll be going off in various directions at once. Listen in on the process. Some instrumental bits and pieces that could be showing up in odd places:

a jazzish phonkish thang wit git-fiddles

this be a bit of lassitudinous forboding

There's this bit'o'rock steady clean tone thing as well...

Oh, yeah, and this as a general offering... I'm listening myself as I hum the four part harmony by folding the vocal chords over...

<img src=[link] valign=top align="left" border="5">Soon there'll be more news than you ever wanted to hear.

Veil Of Thorns has been pushed back into 2006, but it's sounding prettypretty...

Let me at least drop some musick on you to accompany the season.

Choronzon - Tracks from Magog Agog and Era Vulgaris @ Archive.org

You can stream three of the ten files there to find out if it may appeal before going through the download. Betwwen that and what we've made available at Darkcell you'll have most of Magog Agog and a taste of Era Vulgaris.

I must also highly recommend the Damnatus soundtrack, which includes Choronzon, Hexentanz, Green Carnation, Dargaard, Summoning and many other excellent artists.

Damnatus Soundtrack

I'm up to my neck at the moment, but some who know the more esoteric avenues I have been exploring for the last twenty years will see in a most startling way how what I'm working on now ties in with the whole.

Yes, I continue to be evasive and obscure...

In the meanwhile, you can listen to a couple of things that will put you in the correct state of mind to recieve the weirdness:

Radio Alchemy MP3

and

the Halloween 2004 Gagliarchives showwith an interview with Joseph Matheny and a ton of excellent prog, including Goblin, King Crimson, HAppy The Man and much more. It's well worth it for either the music or the chaos theory, parallel universes and conspiracy theories.

Don't let anyone tell ya I never gave you anything....

I have most wantonly and boldfacedly ripped this off from Gpod Radio, a place I think those few of you reading this who haven't checked it out should.

Now.

Oh my God. I know you. I used to live in Boston in the 90's. I saw that you visited my page... Then I looked at your page and saw Veil of Thorns... Christopher...Deborah... Brian, Mary, Hey its.. me Mary! So you still have your band! Cool. We are in PA now in the outskirts of Philly. Do you remember me?
:iconchoronzon333:
Indeed I remember! One never knows where one will run into people. How goes it? Boston was cool, fucked up and multifarious. I've been out of touch with everyone I knew there for years.

Agent139, friend and creative director on the graphic novel I'm working on is currently on PA, though for how long, we don't know, elusive beast that he is...
:iconmaeryair:
Im very good! Im still with my love Brian.. and we have multiplied times 2! Simon and Adam... 6 and 4 years of age! I found out about this site...from looking up Eric Hammer... When I googled him.. his site on here came up. Well thats how that came about, now Im on here. That was about a year ago almost. Boston was cool.. it just became outrageously expensive to live there!! We moved to NH for a while. Now here we are in PA. Where are you now?
:iconchoronzon333:
Excellent. You were in NH the last time I saw you. (Could the last time have been that gig at TT's?)

I'm currently conducting social experiments in Florida, that testing ground for the middle American future. I'm married to a yoga teacher and scraping a living from a bunch of different endeavours that still include music, art and even voice over work. I'm a step grandpa to no less than six younguns.

Eric! I haven't heard anything from him for aeons. morsyphilitica.com has disappeared, and I have not made a general google search. He and Lisa were good friends of Chris and Deborah, but I didn't know them that well. He has a most amazing technique, to be sure.
:iconchoronzon333:
Of cpourse I added Eric's gallery here, and intend to look at it at leisure...
:iconmaeryair:
I honestly do not remember the last time I saw you.. I do remember bumping into you at the train station at Copley with your girlfriend at the time. I do not remember the gig... though. Anyway It is funny running into you online.

I hope you do your yoga too! That would be great to be married to an instructor of such an art. What kind of voice over work? For animation? I checked out your graphic novel..just the images.. they looked cool. I will have to read it too when I have time. You sound busy!

Deborah and I still keep in touch on the phone, and she visits me and stuff. We have become really good friends. She is living in Providence RI now.
I knew Eric kinda well at one time... his work is to be studied. I really have seen him come a long way. Many diferent stages.

Your art is really great too. You have an incredible imagination... and I really like your impressions of these other worldly dimentions, and beings. Very cool and creepy and stirs ones mind into thinking...
