Cognitive Dissonance - Prolix/Cycles

Mon Jan 1, 2007, 11:49 AM
My malevolence deigns to allow an allocation of resources in conception migration. The seeds are flung at the remains; reasons found. Fallacy decides Initiative In support of destitution in Relation to an end. Isolated controverter of an era may be seen to be hallowed. The end begins, birth is everywhere.

I smell the rain and hear its song. Inner strength, all-consuming turmoil pulls me down, pulls me under the black surface. Deadpan assemblage of our best joined in a bond for our destruction sustains advancement to reduce our past to rubble. A device for burning up Influence Deplete to pour out acts in certainty, Factious blood counters all entreaties. Reason touches on comprehensions cool elegance while you nail yourself in fanatical devotion to the instrument of your execution. Unbroken restlessness atrocity corruption I overstated my own destruction. Suggestions of purity eradicate ascendancy. Under the birthing moon we pray, pray to be together for all time. To my knees glancing upward, there flies pain: mine.

The warhead forest formulates a declaration to make you to lie down out under the surface device. Come, let us wait here hiding beneath the snow. Fear ridden spectres flitting by; still their fetters bind your soul. Wrapped in those I love I awaken to dawn caresses, and they are no more. Centuries shall pass maddeningly as we watch them grow. Hidden places, lost hold; No one to sustain reality, my love erases me. Anomalous breaks Venture Into the system of sentience.

Veil Of Thorns - Cognitive Dissonance Phase I

Veil Of Thorns - Cignitivew Dissonance - Transmission I

All right. I've tracked the basic instrumental elements of the next Veil Of Thorns album, working title: "Cognitive Dissonance". Guit and bass is by me, and on drums is James Curcio. This'll be the first time Ruddy Bitch has sat out on a Veil Of Thorns album.

Click on the picture and you can hear all the tracks as a single podcast.

I'm trying something different this time, and with the help of the fine folks at librivox.org, I have added spoken word from readings of public domain classics. We're hearing mostly Flaubert, Coleridge and Emily Dickinson. I'm not sure how this actually works as a thing in itself, but I thought I'd make the various stage escapes into their own entities, as opposed to a few stray mp3's.

In keeping with the original intent, I'm going to limit the final production to four tracks to mix down, and no bouncing. I've done well with that, except for the added melody line at the beginning of the first track.

I'm considering going with a mass of pinkness as the cover, but these things may change a thousand times before we're done. I'll post that as we go along here.

Veil Of Thorns Tracklist

Mon Jan 9, 2006, 11:53 AM
Many things about these tracks will be changing, and the swituation of its release shall be attended to in time. It's feeling cute to me...

01. Reproach (Full of Hope)
02. My Inner Sanctum
03. Exaltation in Ascendancy
04. Worship of Disclosure
05. Manifestation Objective
06. Draw In, Wind Down
07. Dream Shadow
08. Can’t stop Laughing (The Beauty of Drowning)
09. Extend Inward, Breathe Out
10. Undergrowth Silent with Want
11. Fated, Cascading; Submerged
12. The Gathering World Withdrew Its Fury

Reproach (Full of Hope)

As all came
Crashing down,
We could not help but laugh
Reclaim vision,
Howl like wolves
Learn to love the crack of the lash

Draining blood to function on belief
Factious stream counter to all pleas
Chambers full, envy and returns distorted
On the sharp edge advance changes design

Formless,
Unsullied,
Holy, with indigent longing
The innocent
Break off,
Contemplating dispersions quelling

Deplete to pour out acts in certainty
Factious blood counters all entreaties
Hollow ravenous greed and profits twisted
Resting on the firmament adapts intention

My Inner Sanctum

In a shaded doorway
Watching the spirits at play,
Through a cracked and shimmering window to the world;
Through my surprise, welling up in my eyes:
Your soul;
Bleeding, old; a deep well of love:
Sepulchral, cold.

The crowning glory swathed in fear,
The brave action recoiling into futility.
To my knees glancing upward,
There flies pain: mine.

Deep ecstasy traces desire.
Hidden places, lost hold;
No one to sustain reality,
My love erases me.
I turn around to go,
The world around me flows through my body.
The bitter realization contains the happy seed: yes, me.

Weak and stumbling,
Gloriously breathing still dawn’s air,
That part of me now lost forever,
It wanders lonely in the dark.
Battle-weary I remain
Inconsistency remarked,
Though seemingly complete.
The soul bears not
Such vacuous conceit.
God damn you!
How can I bear to see your face?
Your every tear reveals my cowering disgrace.
To my knees, glancing inward:
Imprisoned:
My inner sanctum.

More than I shoulda. A Love Supreme...

Some ground has been laid for you,

but it'll be just a little bit longer before I let you in.

Black shirts to come, new designs, art in process, new disasters for the cleansing...

You have no idea!

Slowly, and with deliberation we proceed,

Plant the seed

Commit the deed,

prettypretty things will bleed...

It seems I can give it away... The music can be found, traded etc. THis was a slow week for VOT downloads, but that seems to be the case overall. Keep checking music.download.com/veilofthorns every so often, for I'll be putting brand new stuff up there soon. Some of the strongest yet, I humbly claim...

Soon there'll be more news than you ever wanted to hear.

This one has been hotly anticipated, and now, we bring it to you for free. Twisting caverns of Chaotic adventure await!

This is turning out to be either a fantastic or a terrible year for you, depending on how much you treasure order and knowing which way is down. Two Choronzon double albums in one year! Monde has created a neuro-labyrinth for you to traverse as you experince the chaos, and it has to be seen to be believed!

First a Panic Pandemic, then a New World Chaos. Makes sense to me.

You can hear it, lick it, smoke it, poke and prod it, read it and be eaten alive by it:

Choronzon_-_New_World_Chaos

The album is simultaneously being podcast, the link is also to be found on the front page:
http://choronzon.org - just look to your right for the sidebar.

For all you who think you know the scope of the Choronzon project, this web transmission will prove you wrong. Many ripples were sent across this reality during the process of its creation, and we shall be feeling aftershocks for Aeons to come.

Go and experience it now!!!

Choronzon_-_New_World_Chaos Realplayer Stream

For now, you can Stream just about all the sound I've brought you so far.

I've been digitally manipulating images more than is habitual with me lately. It fits the project and i will not question it. This may turn out to be the most productive year in this go-round yet.

Usually, I create sigils the old fasioned way with paper and ink and/or blood, but I have started to use digital media with great success. I have found this a fun way to incorporate sigils, often turning the works themselves into sigils that are having a powerful effect. I'll use ephemeral source material that I can erace and forget, to avoid the machinations of my meddlesome conscious mind.

Of course, I have done this with music since I started recording my own material, and have been gratified by the results. Some early examples are embedded in the music I am presenting below. I bring you two songs each from Choronzon and Veil Of Thorns, both from their respective third demos, incidentally.

I've been coming across a lot of old material I had previously thought was gone for good. I am actually capable of intelligable vocals and understandable lyrics, but damn, I used to write a lot of songs in Norwegian. I hadn't ralized the extent of my Norse writs. At one time my English was a little halting, beyond my social retardation, and my Norse strong and eloquent. Around the house we speak a mixture of English, Norwegian and Italian, so language is a fluid thing among us.

Apo Pantos Kanindaimonos!

It has come to my attention that there is someone who has been following along here who doesn't know she's been spotted. Hold on to your comfort, dear.

HA! Have fun.

I sometimes work a little magick and watch others scramble to react, not knowing even the nature of the thing that happened. Having a little help from friends makes it a delicious pot luck.

Bubble, bubble soil and stubble.

I revel in ill-willed characteristics that grow in my languor. Abandon your pride in conflicting channels and take away desire before hell becomes particularized.

We’ll let in the wolves and engage in the regeneration of our prejudice. Applying a deliberate crash technique we intend to bury the others in a barrage of ideas that induce nervous tension, removing the constituent drones to drown in their and our excesses.

What of amalgamated eyes blind to freedom with no hope of cessation? Who knows?

A Demon is engulfing vast fields of good, quiescent fleshy tissue; fodder resplendent in its burial garment of jubilant exposed odium in this world. We laugh, seeing the universal absurdity.

I've been going through some weird phases of energy and lassitude this week. My insomnia has been a constant in my life since i was twelve, and the attendant madness and halucinations only feed the fire of my imagination, so that also business as usual. Deep meditation has been easy and rewarding, alternating with a sense of needing to be prepared.

I feel another layer is in the process of being sloughed off my outer manifestation, which would explain the amount of time I'm spending, wading through old materials and old memories lately. It is time to look this stuff over one last time before I thin out what I possess. I'm taking a break from the task at hand, (namely, the visual side of New World Chaos), only to spend a few minutes doing other work, like the preservation of old recordings.

Some of my older music has been letting itself be found in the oddest places. In a way, I'm digitizing and archiving these analogue recordings, so I don't have to hold on to any old stuff. I have three audio programs and two graphic programs going most of the time, and the computer's being kind enough freeze but once or twice a day.

As a result, there will be a run of re-releases of old Choronzon and Veil Of THorns music later this fall. I have given you a couple of mp3's below from the Veil of Thorns rlease "Legemet Og Stemmen", which I was absolutely certain I had lost when I came across it amongst my photos the other day. Dogface alwqays used to accuse me of releasing too much stuff, but I think this hold up surprisingly well.

Keep in mind that these songs were recorded in 1990-92 on a Tascam cassette eight track. They were experimental at the time, within a traditional somn form, and nowhere as slick as current dance or industrial music these days. I was goig for a balance of electronic instruments and songs while trying to avoid it being technopop. I have gone much further with both these elements since, but I couldn't do what I do these days without having done this and the early Choronzon work. I know there are bootlegs of live show out there as well. I'd really appreciate it if anyone in possession of these would contact me and send me a copy.

I just got a bunch of new music to envelop the house in from Timothy The Revelator. I'll be telling you a lot more about this as we go along here the next few days. For now, I just want to revel in the beauty of what is being shared here.

I've been running across a lot of people I used to know in one form or other, and have been finding it immensely gratifying to find that they're doing their best work these days.

Veil Of Thorns_-_Legemet Og Stemmen mp3

Syng til meg dødens navn
Vis meg fred
La meg lære deg å kjenne
Synderens latter gjemmer smerte

Min stemme vil høres i stormens lyder
Jeg vil bryte ned alt mennesker har skapt
Sammen med dem skall mitt hat forsvinne

Jeg har lyst til å være her i hele natt
Tilfreds uten andre
Påstår jeg til naturens ånd
Jeg kan se ned til byen
Fjorden og himmelen flyter
Sammen i en svart teppe
Er der ingen som vil ha
Det legeme og ånd
Som jeg må lage min selv ut av
Dagens lys gjør ondt
Natten har blodens puls
Jeg vil rive ned alt sammen

Gjev Meg Gamalost!

I'm going over some music while I work on other things. There may be a Veil Of Thorns EP in February, an album to follow in the spring, and, should a drummer and bass player somehow show up, some festival appearances. I'm opening up the idea, not promising. The tour aspect, that is. The musick will be forthcoming.

Some things that'll be going off in various directions at once. Listen in on the process. Some instrumental bits and pieces that could be showing up in odd places:

a jazzish phonkish thang wit git-fiddles

this be a bit of lassitudinous forboding

There's this bit'o'rock steady clean tone thing as well...

Oh, yeah, and this as a general offering... I'm listening myself as I hum the four part harmony by folding the vocal chords over...

<img src=[link] valign=top align="left" border="5">Soon there'll be more news than you ever wanted to hear.

Veil Of Thorns has been pushed back into 2006, but it's sounding prettypretty...

Let me at least drop some musick on you to accompany the season.

Choronzon - Tracks from Magog Agog and Era Vulgaris @ Archive.org

You can stream three of the ten files there to find out if it may appeal before going through the download. Betwwen that and what we've made available at Darkcell you'll have most of Magog Agog and a taste of Era Vulgaris.

I must also highly recommend the Damnatus soundtrack, which includes Choronzon, Hexentanz, Green Carnation, Dargaard, Summoning and many other excellent artists.

Damnatus Soundtrack

I'm up to my neck at the moment, but some who know the more esoteric avenues I have been exploring for the last twenty years will see in a most startling way how what I'm working on now ties in with the whole.

Yes, I continue to be evasive and obscure...

In the meanwhile, you can listen to a couple of things that will put you in the correct state of mind to recieve the weirdness:

Radio Alchemy MP3

and

the Halloween 2004 Gagliarchives showwith an interview with Joseph Matheny and a ton of excellent prog, including Goblin, King Crimson, HAppy The Man and much more. It's well worth it for either the music or the chaos theory, parallel universes and conspiracy theories.

Don't let anyone tell ya I never gave you anything....

I have most wantonly and boldfacedly ripped this off from Gpod Radio, a place I think those few of you reading this who haven't checked it out should.

Now.
